Most of it goes out now. Some of it keeps giving.

The IHERO family

Three businesses. One gives back.

IHERO Media, Growth and Desk are businesses that work for Maltese companies. The foundation is the part of IHERO that gives back. It's a separate charity, with its own board and its own money.

The money is kept apart.

Gifts never pay for the IHERO businesses. If one of them is ever paid for work, it's at a market rate, approved by the board's independent member, and published here.

Hello. What would you like to know?

Who's setting it up

Hello, I'm Karol. I'm setting this up.

IHERO Foundation is the part of IHERO that gives back. IHERO Media, Growth and Desk are businesses; the foundation is a charity, with its own board and its own money.

It's new and not open yet, so there are no grants, photos or stories here. What there is: the plan, the rules and the road, written down before anyone gives a euro.

01Can I give today?Not yet. No money is taken until we're registered.Giving

Not yet. The foundation first has to be registered in Malta and enrolled with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations. Until both are done, we don't take a single euro.

If anyone asks you for a donation to IHERO Foundation before this page says we're open, it isn't us.

Where we are Still unsure? Ask about this

02What's the smallest gift?€100. To all four programmes, or to one.Giving

Gifts start at €100. You choose all four programmes or just one. Card or bank transfer through a secure payment provider; we never see your card details.

Run your numbers Still unsure? Ask about this

03Do I get anything back?No. It's donations only.Money

No. IHERO Foundation takes donations only. 70% of each gift is granted the same year; 30% goes into a long-term fund that belongs to the foundation and pays out about 4% a year as more grants.

Donors don't own a share of the fund, and nobody earns anything from it.

How a gift works Still unsure? Ask about this

04What happens to the 30% in the fund?It keeps giving. About 4% of it is granted every year.Money

It keeps giving. The board invests the fund under a written policy and grants about 4% of its value every year, so one gift helps for years.

Fund income goes up and down with markets, so the yearly amount is a plan, not a promise.

Try it with your amount Still unsure? Ask about this

05Who pays the running costs?A written policy. Published before donations open.Money

We'll publish a running-costs policy before donations open, so you can see what, if anything, comes out of gifts for things like bank and payment fees.

Still unsure? Ask about this

06Can I choose one programme?Yes. Or leave it to the split.Grants

Yes. Pick one programme and the part of your gift granted that year goes to it. Leave it open and it follows the split: 50% Future Heroes, 30% Support for Ukraine, 10% Animal Heroes, 10% Hero Sport.

07Is Support for Ukraine military aid?No. Humanitarian aid only.Grants

No. Support for Ukraine is humanitarian aid for civilians: food, medicine, help for children and families who lost their homes, and support for Ukrainian families settling in Malta. Grants go to registered humanitarian charities. Never anything military.

Support for Ukraine Still unsure? Ask about this

08How do we apply for support? After we open. Partners can register interest now.Grants

Applications open once the foundation is registered. Sports clubs, schools and course providers, animal-welfare groups and charities helping Ukrainians can register their interest now, and we'll tell you when the first round opens.

Register interest Still unsure? Ask about this

09Is it linked to IHERO CLUB or crypto? No. No crypto, no NFTs, no perks.Trust

No. IHERO Foundation has no link to IHERO CLUB: no crypto, no NFTs, no member perks. Gifts start in euro, by card or bank transfer.

Still unsure? Ask about this

10Do gifts pay for the IHERO businesses? No. The money is kept apart.Trust

No. The foundation is a separate charity with its own money. If an IHERO business is ever paid for work, it's at a market rate, approved by the independent board member, and published.

11Can my company claim a tax credit? We'll confirm. Nothing here promises one.Trust

We'll say what applies once our lawyer has checked it. Until then, nothing on this page promises a tax benefit. Companies sponsor us for the programmes, and their name appears on the grants they fund.

12How will I know where my gift went? It's published. Every grant, plus a yearly report.Trust
